There are two main features differences coming with VDD version 1x... or 2x... or 3x...  see picture bellow

• supported car platform, and
• GSM radio version

Supported car platforms:

VDD Dongle V1 1X...
supports Volvo P1, P2, P3 car platforms (except S/V40 1.gen)
does not support many features on SPA CMA cars,
as it lacks third CAN channel for communication via add-on CANALT cabling,
such as door & windows statuses and commands for parking heater and remote engine start.

VDD Dongle V1 3X...
Supports all P1, P2, P3, SPA, CMA platforms (except S/V40 1.gen)

Supports GSM 2G radio,
coverage: in EU 28 where the 2G GSM network is in operation

VDD Dongle V1 3X...
supports 2G and 4G GSM networks, specifically LTE-CATM and LTE-NB
coverage: EU 28, Switzerland, Norway, USA, Canada, Japan
where the 2G and 4G CATM/NBIOT GSM network is in operation.
