Volvo Sensus USA to EU Navigation Conversion

When this applies

If you want to convert first-generation Volvo Sensus navigation from the USA market to Europe, special conversion software must be loaded via USB.

This applies to MY2012-2014 Sensus cars without the globe key.

This service is currently not possible directly via VDASH because USB uploading is not supported.

Option 1: Replace IAM with an EU unit

Buy a used IAM module from a European car, install it into your car, and load ITP OFF (MOST security off) with VDASH. In this specific case, this can be done for free.

You only need to use the correct IAM part according to software compatibility:

• S60II ↔ V60 ↔ XC60 are compatible with each other
• S80II ↔ V70III ↔ XC70III are compatible with each other
• V40II ↔ V40CC are compatible with each other

Option 2: Send your IAM module to D5T5

Option 3: Visit an official Volvo dealer

You can also visit an official Volvo dealer and ask them to load the special navigation conversion software. The typical price is approximately 160 EUR excl. VAT.
