Preconditions
- If the car happens to have a collision, the late SRS units are recording certain live values before and during the collision. These values are stored in so-called Crash event storage memory. This memory is locked until a proper diagnosis and repair is done at a garage.
- This is to assure the safety of the car after the repair.
- The Clear crash memory procedure removes this lock. It is mandatory that all DTCs (except this lock) are properly cleared (i.e. all airbags and other safety related componets) replaced.
- If you do NOT know what you are doing, do NOT continue!
Procedure
- Get all inflated airbags and other safety related components replaced with the new parts.
- Ignition ON.
- Start the "SRS Clear crash memory" procedure.
- Clear DTCs.
Recommended
- Put the battery charger on the car.
